RELASI SOSIAL DAN MOBILITAS SIRKULER PEDAGANG BAKWAN KAWI DI DESA KERTEN IMOGIRI BANTUL
Abstract
Imogiri is one of the districts in Bantul Regency which has a large population. The existence of historical relics and tourist attractions such as the tombs of the kings of Imogiri have made the Imogiri area a tourist area. Not only that, the Imogiri market also adds to the crowd. The existence of the Imogiri market has made Imogiri the center of the economy or the heart of the Imogiri economy. No wonder the Imogiri area is the target of circular migrants from various regions, one of which is Gunung Kidul. The focus of this research is limited to the reasons for the labor force to perform non-permanent (circular) mobility and choosing to work in the informal sector of Bakwan Kawi traders in Kerten and how the social interactions of circular migrants with communities of origin and destination areas. The author uses the theory of migration and the informal sector to analyze the reasons for the labor force to engage in non-permanent (circular) mobility and choose to work in the informal sector of Bakwan Kawi traders in Kerten and how the social interactions of circular migrants with communities of origin and destination areas. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research was conducted by means of observation, interviews and document review. The research informants were the skipper of Bakwan Kawi, and workers who sold Bakwan Kawi. The results of the study show that the sociological reasons for migrants to carry out circular mobility to Imogiri are due to economic factors, low income in the area of origin and because of requests from previous migrants. Social interactions and relations are still closely established both in the area of origin and in the destination. Interactions and relationships, among others, on important days or events such as death, marriage and birth.
