Abstract

Performance is one of the benchmarks that are highly considered both in the world of work in goverment and private agencies. One of the most important factors for ASN’s succes in goverment agencies is employee performance. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted in three sub-section, sub-section of administration, sub-section of correspondence and archieves, and finansial sub-section of the Regional Secretariat General of DIY. The result of the study prove that employee performance has a very big effect on the work output produced. Lack of priority at work still exists in some employees. Work that is service in nature requires more effort and care in the process, however it seems that at least this was applied by the employees. There are inhibiting factors and supporting factors in this study. The overall inhibiting factor is the employee’s lack of self initiative to conduct work evaluations in person so that there is little ability to analyze errors in his work, the server is sometimes unstable so that it interferes with the work activities. While the supporting factors are the existence of an evaluation meeting of the heads every three months, the existence of training and technical guidance from the regional staffing agency.
