PELESTARIAN BATIK TULIS NITIK PADA ERA MODERN DI DESA TRIMULYO KECAMATAN JETIS KABUPATEN BANTUL

Abstract


In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research form to describe how the community's participation in the village of Trimulyo in the preservation of Batik Tulis Nitik, as well as the impact or influence arising from the preservation of Batik Tulis Nitik in the modern era. This research rests on the paradigm of social definition with action theory. According to this action theory, there must be situational and individual conditions as actors and in this study the actor in question is the Trimulyo Village Community while the situational condition is the preservation of Nitik Batik. The research location was conducted in Bantul Regency, more specifically in Trimulyo Village, Jetis District. In collecting data, researchers used in-depth interview techniques to find data directly from the source (primary data), for documentation to find secondary data. There are 2 (two) research findings: First, the way batik craftsmen preserve written batik in the modern era in Trimulyo Village through batik education, socialization about batik making by involving the younger generation, both involvement in the exhibition "Jogja Word Batik City", until its establishment. Paguyuban Batik. Second, the factors causing the decline in batik craftsmanship in Trimulyo Village are due to the lack of skills and persistence of the youth as the next generation of batik craftsmen, the entry of industrialization in the modern era so that young people prefer to work in factories, and the income is not comparable to previous batik jobs.
