PENGELOLAAN KAWASAN HUTAN MANGROVE BERBASIS EKOWISATA MELALUI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT PESISIR

Abstract

The pressure of population growth, especially in coastal areas, resulting in a change in land use and utilization of natural resources unnecessarily, mangrove forests quickly became dwindling and broken throughout the tropics. Management of mangrove forest-based ecotourism done to overcome the damage mangrove forest land through educational activities. This mangrove ecotourism management research uses descriptive qualitative research methodology, collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation as well as involving respondents who have an important role.
The findings in the field, management of mangrove ecotourism "Kampoeng Nipah" at Sei Nagalawan is based on four indicators ie management; planning, organizing, implementation and monitoring. The conclusion was that the management of mangrove forest areas as ecotourism provide great opportunities for the community to develop the potential of the area where he lives. Only required serious attention and guidance from government. Government completes public facilities such as road repairs, finance and tourism development. The government provides broader space allocation, especially for the cultivation of mangrove, provides policy management of mangroves as coastal protection. The government is empowering the community to develop the skills and people skills. Should insurance is included in the admission ticket (levy) mangrove ecotourism "Kampoeng Nipah ', so that the secure management principles can be realized.
