IMPLEMENTASI PERATURAN DAERAH KOTA YOGYAKARTA NOMOR 18 TAHUN 2009 TENTANG PENYELENGGARAAN PARKIR

Abstract

According to the phenomenon of parking on the edge of public road that often makes congestion and inconvenience for road users, thus many communities or tourists complained about city condition of Yogyakarta that it used to be more comfortable than it is now turn into jammed city and not environmentally friendly anymore. To overcome these problems Yogyakarta government issued Yogyakarta Regional Regulation No. 18 year 2009 on the Implementation of parking, but until the research conducted parking problems are not completely resolved.

The method of this research was carried out based on descriptive qualitative method, data collection was done through observation and interviews with informants. The results showed that the Yogyakarta Regional Regulation No. 18 Year 2009 on parking enforcement has not done well. To improve orderliness in the parking lot, the Government of Yogyakarta need to increase announcement so that people can understand more about the local regulations. Governments also need to consider the service system, supervision and control of parking on the edge of the public road of Yogyakarta to meet the parking condition which is oriented to the security and convenience for users of parking service.
