Abstract

One of the concrete efforts of the Bantul Regency government to develop UKM is by building a Pasar Seni in 2004. The purpose of this market development is to facilitate small craftsmen in Bantul Regency to promote their handicraft items.But in fact, until now Gabusan Art Market has not grown as expected. This can be seen from 1) the number of craftsmen who continue to decline; 2) fluctuations in the number of  visits; 3) failure to achieve turnover targets, 4) the abandonment of existing facilities / supporting infrastructure in PSG; and 5) Gabusan Art Market still stands in the land of the Timbulharjo village treasury.

This research is based on the theory of evaluation according to Bridgman & Davis to answer the problem formulation about the failure of Gabusan Art Market management which seen from four aspect namely the aspect namely Inputs, Process, Outputs, Outcames The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. Concluded research that management of Gabusan Art Market Management until now has not run well. From the aspect of internal resources include the capacity of human resources the number of employees is currently still below the ideal amount. Financially still rely on APBD. Facilities and infrastructure are sufficient but poorly maintained. UKM participation in Bantul Regency is still minimal.
