Abstract
Abstract
Since decentralization and regional autonomy policies began to be implemented in Indonesia 1999, all elements of society continue to be encouraged and given wider opportunities to participate in development.
The birth of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages further emphasizes that participation is the main key to the success of village development. However, the high and low level of community participation in the implementation of village development will be determined by two factors. First, awareness, willingness and ability of the community to participate. Second, the willingness and ability of the government to encourage and motivate people to actively participate in village development. Development really needs active participation from the community, and to foster community participation there needs to be a formal leader, in this case the village government, who can encourage and motivate the community to actively participate in village development.
In this study, the authors used a qualitative approach with descriptive format. This is based on the purpose of being able to describe, summarize various conditions, various situations or various variables that arise and become the object of research.
