INOVASI MODEL PENGEMBANGAN KAWASAN PESISIR BERBASIS MODAL SOSIAL DI KABUPATEN TANGERANG
Abstract
The development of coastal areas based on the social capital of the surrounding community will foster a sense of shared ownership and responsibility for development carried out by the Government. However, the condition is that existing social capital is strong. In this study, researchers found the characteristics of social capital in Dadap Village to be strong, both in social networks, norms, and beliefs, while Tanjung Pasir Village was classified as moderate. Meanwhile, Suryabahari Village is classified as weak, especially in the aspects of social networks and trust. Social capital as one of the regional development capital is related to the level of community participation. Besides social capital, there are other interrelated capitals, such as human, environmental, financial, and physical. In general, regional development in coastal areas is more mainstream in physical capital such as infrastructure. The implication is that development only assessed by the availability of infrastructure. Of course this is related to sustainable development which tends not to occur, especially management problems because of the disharmony between capital development.
