STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT MELALUI PENGEMBANGAN APOTEK BADAN USAHA MILIK KALURAHAN BERSAMA MEKARSARI TEPUS GUNUNGKIDUL

Abstract

The concept of empowerment includes the notion of community development and community-based development, which means that people are fostered and trained so that they have knowledge, skills and expertise that can be utilized so that they can progress and be productive. One of the community empowerment programs is through Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) which are then referred to as BUMKal. One of the BUMDes that has succeeded in developing its business by empowering the community is BUMDes with Mekarsari. This BUMKal was established with the aim of carrying out economic business activities, public service activities, increasing the use value of village assets and potential for the welfare of the village community, and as a forum for organizing micro, small and medium enterprises in rural communities to improve the welfare of the village community. The research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and literature study. From the research results, it can be concluded that setting up a business requires preparation and a mature concept. It is hoped that the established business will not only stand at that time but can also develop into a bigger one. Pharmacy is a health service unit that distributes pharmaceutical supplies to the public. As a health service unit, the pharmacy provides medicines needed by the community to achieve optimal health status.
