PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI WISATA CAGAR BUDAYA RAWA KALIBAYEM DI DESA NGESTIHARJO KECAMATAN KASIHAN KABUPATEN BANTUL

Abstract

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, tourism is an alternative sector that is favored to encourage the Indonesian economy. One of the strategies of the Ngestiharjo Village Government to accelerate the improvement of the community's economy is to revive village assets, one of which is the Rawa Kalibayem Tourism Potential. But unfortunately, until now the tourism potential of the Rawa Kalibayem has not been developed to its full potential, this can be seen from 1) tourist complaints about the incomplete facilities provided; 2) there are less attractive photo spots; 3) complaints from tourism managers regarding the lack of coordination between BUMDes and the surrounding community; 4) tourism promotion efforts are still not optimal; 5) the number of tourists visiting is still small compared to Taman Sari tourism. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research data, it is concluded that the development of the Rawa Kalibayem tourism potential has not been carried out optimally, this can be seen from the indicators for developing tourism potential as follows: Attractions have not been managed optimally; Accessibility to tourist sites is quite good, but at tourist sites still needs improvement; Amenity has not been fully managed optimally; Ancillary at tourist sites has experienced a decline and promotion of the Rawa Kalibayem Cultural Conservation tourism has not been carried out optimally.
