This paper attempts to analyze the management of conflicts in the Coastal region of Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. Disruption of livelihoods of farmers has led to a prolonged conflict with the defense involves many actors, the private sector, government, and society.

Patterns of settlement of this matter with the government policy should forward values local knowledge related to land issues. Completion of the review authors suggest this could be used negotiation, consultation and mediation with based on the principles of the famous traditional Javanese people are friendly, polite and 'dirembug' (communicated - discussed).
