PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI DAERAH SEBAGAI STRATEGI PENINGKATAN KEMANDIRIAN DAERAH

Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of resources, both of its natural resources and human resources. However, until this day, Indonesia still could not be able to significantly increase its national’s income. By decentralization, the implementation of regional autonomy provides an opportunity for each of provinces in Indonesia to increase their autonomy through Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) with the regional potentials.

The autonomy of region could be seen by its index of region’s fiscal as the sample. It will be earned if the region has a lot of PAD more than the total of its expenditure. One of the strategies for increasing the PAD is by developing well the potentials in the region.

The region potentials that could increase income are sector of Agriculture, Cultivation, Livestock, Hunting, and Agricultural Services; the sector of Processing Industry; and the sector of Tourism. Moreover, the strategy of region’s policy is directed to increase the productivities of those  sectors; developing Human Resources by the education, socialization, and development of entrepeneurship in the society; and paying the attention of the investor’s necessity while still prioritizing what the society needs.
